Stimulates and produces healthy roots on plant cuttings.
Direction for use:
Cuttings: Using an angle cut, take a healthy cutting from the parent branch and remove the bottom leaves. Ensure 2 or 3 small leaves are left at the top of the cutting. Cuttings should be from 5cm to 15cm long with and growth diameter of 1cm or less.
Timing: Take the cutting from the parent after the growth period. This is generally late Summer or early Autumn. For shrubs that flower in Winter, take cuttings in December. For shrubs that flower in Spring, take cuttings in Autumn. For roses, take cuttings from new growth in October.
Planting: Take cuttings early in the morning or late in the afternoon. Moisten cutting and dip into Root Strike powder, shake off excess and plant into growing mix as soon as possible. Water daily and do not allow growing mixture to dry out. Do not fertilise. Growing mix used for initial rooting should be free-draining and light. A mixture of peat moss and sand, ordinary garden soil, or sandy loam can be used if free draining and not compacted
